I have not been able to access my characters in any capacity for a long time now. I've tried multiple browsers, restarting my computer, connecting to different wifi and ethernet connections, and waited over a week now. The fact I pay a good amount of money annually for this service and have spent a good sum of money on books, content, and other items, I should warrant access to my characters' stats at the very least.
I've been disappointed in D&D Beyond in the past but this brings a whole new meaning to dissatisfying.
There were issues over the weekend (which they did not adequately communicate after discovering, but WotC, so...) But those seem to have been resolved as far as I can tell.
You could be having a pop-up blocker or other pluggin interfering. Do you have issues on mobile too?
