I have been playing with encounter builder, preparing for an upcoming game and ran into an issue. When I started building the encounters, I was using my characters and that worked, but when I use characters from a campaign, some of which are not mine (eventually none will be), it gets stuck displaying "loading character..." and is unable to read the stats of the characters I do not own. I can view these characters no problem, but I can't edit them or roll initiative. I don't imagine this is how this is supposed to work. One would anticipate the characters not being owned by the gm.
I had exactly the same issue in my game at the weekend, and all week when Ive been trying to run encounters to test. In my case all the characters are owned by me, there are always 4 characters, and only 2 (the same 2) will load, the other 2 will always get stuck on "loading character...". Its extremely frustrating.
Well, you made me look. That was a bad assumption. The characters that aren't loading are unassigned. But it is loading correctly characters I own, unassigned characters and characters other accounts have claimed.

I claimed them, then one of the two worked, then I unassigned them again, and both are working again. Weird.
That worked for me as well, thanks!
