I have the exact same issue - would love to know what the answer to this is. Currently I've bookmarked the character sheets to edit them as a work around. When I claim them in the campaign as myself I can edit them. When others claim them, I get the same campaign link. I'm registered as the DM for the campaign. Running on windows so I don't think it's the OS. Thanks in advance to whomever can help.
The player who owns the character has a period (".") in their username, which presumably would make the URL invalid. Maybe that's it? Does something similar apply for you guys?
That was precisely the fix for me as well. So it helps others, the player registered with their google account firstname.lastname@gmail.com. When they claimed the character, as you stated, the link becomes invalid and the app just provides a link back to the campaign rather than notify you the edit link is not valid.
If you go into the account page you'll notice names with periods have a text box at the bottom (my account doesn't have this field). I changed that account name to just 'firstnamelastname' and removed the periods. After the save, the textbox field goes way. At that time, the edit link works correctly. Thanks for the replies. I hope this helps others.

I cant access a character sheet in my campaign. When you hover over the View or edit button it shows the url to the campaign page. https://www.dndbeyond.com/campaigns/####### When I hover over the other characters it shows the url to their character sheet. https://www.dndbeyond.com/profile/playerscreenname/characters/########
I have tried different browsers, deleting cache, logging out. It works on the dndbeyond mobile app. I have a mac. What can I do?

I am also having the same problem.

Update: The player changing their name seemingly has resolved this issue.
