I am a player in 3 different campaigns with content sharing turned on, going back as much as 2 years. Between these 3 campaigns, I had access to nearly every book. All of a sudden overnight now I have access to nothing but the 2 books I purchased myself, the free basic rules and an adventure or two given to subscribers (I have hero tier).
I've checked to make sure my syncing is on. I find it hard to believe that all these other people (14 total in 3 campaigns) have lost their syncing or stopped sharing their books all at once. I haven't added any new browser extensions (I have a few but no new ones for months now); my browser is up to date. I've been having this problem for 4 days.
Any thing else I can check? I'm starting to panic a bit; I've been referencing these shared sources for the game I DM and I can't shell out the cash for them right now.
If you're talking about making sure your account entitlements are in sync, that has nothing to do with content sharing. Content sharing is controlled by whether or not someone in the campaign has an active master tier subscription, and has turned on content sharing for those specific campaigns. If you don't have a master tier subscription, and haven't been the one turning on the content sharing, then you'd want to go to the campaign page (go to a character sheet that you know is in a campaign that used to have content sharing, click on the name of the campaign above the HP part of the character sheet, then click on it again in the sidebar) and see if it says on the campaign page that content sharing has been enabled by [someone]. If that one isn't at the top left under the campaign name, there's no content sharing at all, and you'll have to ask the other players or DM. If it is there, you'd want to ask that person if their subscription lapsed or something.
Argh! This is even more confusing. I went to one of my characters in each campaign and clicked where you said to, and again in the sidebar on the campaign name there. I get a page that seems to look just like it always has. No language about content sharing either on or off. Just the name of the campaign, a game log button, and a campaign invite link to copy. Then the DM's name and a list of characters.
I messaged the other players today though, and no one else is having trouble accessing the content. It feels like someone just stole my favorite toy.
Well, if you can see the campaign page you're logged in. But if to you it looks like there's no content sharing listed, that's weird. All I can suggest is to ask whoever provided the content sharing to turn it off and on again (the other player should be able to look at the campaign page and see who's providing it so you can contact the right person). No idea if this will fix it, but I've seen it as a suggested solution for some problems related to content sharing.
