I just tried to add a rapier to one of my players characters and it seems that the Rogue is not proficient with rapiers, shortswords, longswords and hand crossbows, all though it says otherwise in the PHB.
Sure, I can override the stats, but I think this is a bug. Or did I miss something? I searched the forum, but there where no results for this topic.
Light armor, one skill from the class's skill list, thieves' tools
If you took a class that doesn't give proficiency in rapiers as your first class and then multi-classed into rogue, then you wouldn't get the rogue's weapon proficiencies.

Multi-classed? From the PHB: https://www.dndbeyond.com/compendium/rules/phb/customization-options#Proficiencies
