Equipping a shield does not disable Martial Arts
Equipping armor does not disable Martial Arts
Equipping a shield does not disable Unarmored Movement
Equipping the shield does not change any sort of flag on the sheet and those feature you mentioned are not able to detect a shield. For now, you need to check these things.
Equipping armor disables Unarmored Movement. So something is getting checked there for sure.
