While helping my Daughter create a character, I noticed that when I created her a Half-Elf Ranger, in the Saving Throws box on the character sheet it stated: against being charmed, and magic can’t put you to sleep (with the green advantage hex next to it).
When I tried to create the exact same character using the Eladrin, the note in the Saving Throws box on the character sheet it states: to avoid or end the charmed condition (with the green advantage hex next to it).
Both Races have Fey Ancestry trait, but the descriptions are different: Half-Elf: "You have advantage on saving throws against being Charmed, and magic can’t put you to sleep." Eladrin: "You have advantage on saving throws you make to avoid or end the Charmed condition on yourself."
But the Eladrin Race also has the Trance trait: "You don’t need to sleep, and magic can’t put you to sleep. (remaining text excluded for simplicity)"
So if both the Half Elf AND the Eladrin have advantage on saving throws against being charmed and magic can't put them to sleep, why is the information that is displayed on the Character Sheet different?
Any clarifications are appreciated.
Cheers!
