Pretty basic "issue", with the new maps feature. So far it seems like a simple to use map tool, allowing you to upload premade maps or use maps from D&D Beyond - so far, love it.
Only issue I am running into is with the token usage for creating encounters, fights, etc. My party consists of mostly new players with few to no sourcebooks - but two of us have almost all of them and use content sharing to allow for more seamless gameplay when creating characters and so on.
However, if any of them wanted to try their hand at DM'ing and creating encounters - these tokens would not be available because content sharing doesn't transfer to the maps? Yet?
Hopefully this is a "yet" issue, as in, "we haven't wrote the code for content sharing, yet" or "this will be implemented in the future, but hasn't happened yet."
Can anyone verify, or has this been answered? Thank you all
This is also very frustrating as I own multiple books in real life but am reasonably new to DMing on dnd beyond. I have purchased the subscription so I can content share with our regular DM and if i cant build encounters on maps with tokens that we are sharing, there is really no point in doing it with dnd beyond
