In the D&D Beyond Basic Rules (both web and app) it is stated for the choice of Roguish Archetype:
At 3rd level, you choose an archetype that you emulate in the exercise of your rogue abilities: Thief, Assassin, or Arcane Trickster, all detailed at the end of the class description.
However, only Thief is listed in the same Basic Rules because that's all that can be chosen in the Basic Rules. This wording in your Basic Rules is the same wording as in the Player's Handbook and is incorrect.
The official Basic Rules on wizards.com and their PDF contains a different and correct description of the Roguish Archetype. The D&D Beyond Basic Rules for Roguish Archetype should be modified to reflect the official Basic Rules.
Checking around in the D&D Basic Rules some more, the same type of mistake is also made with the Fighter's Martial Archetype where it states "At 3rd level, you choose an archetype that you strive to emulate in your combat styles and techniques. Choose Champion, Battle Master, or Eldritch Knight, all detailed at the end of the class description.", however only the Champion is listed in the same rules and is the only one truly applicable.
Someone should revisit the level 3 choices for all the classes to make sure they line up with the official Basic Rules instead of what's in the Player's Handbook.
It is not a problem, because the basic rules published by WoTC only allow you yo use 1 subclass of each class. Far rogue that is Theif.
Taken from the basic rules:
Roguish Archetype
At 3rd level, you choose an archetype that you emulate in the exercise of your rogue abilities. The Thief archetype is detailed here; see the Player’s Handbook for other archetypes. Your choice grants you features at 3rd level and then again at 9th, 13th, and 17th level.

Nice catch.

This is fixed. Thanks.
This is still a problem. Rogue Archetype selection is only Theif. Nothing else.
