I'm using Dndbeyond maps right now, and for some reason I am unable to use any monster tokens except Aboleth, Aboleth Cultist, and Abjurer Wizard. All the other tokens say that "This monster token isn't in the DM's content library" and I have no clue how to fix it. Furthermore, homebrew monsters are not showing up, and I don't have these creatures in my homebrew collection either.
Ok of course the second I post this I figure out the issue. I first had to search up the names of a couple monsters I knew I had for certain, and once doing that a couple times I found that I was able to access all of the monsters I owned again. Hope this helps someone in the future.
Very similar issue. I'm DMing a campaign where we have content share enabled. Yet I can't use any tokens from the shared content if I don't own the books myself. Basic example:
I can't use the Dragonblood Ooze Token despite having access to Fizban's treasury. I have double, tripple and quadruple checked that everything is enabled and accessable, I can read the book just fine but when I try to pull the Token into a map for that very campaign, I'm told I don't have access to it while I not only have access to it, I have it open and am reading it in another tab.
Well then this should be communicated more clearly. We have decided as a group that I DM, I do the prep work, make the maps etc and I pay the sub while the players share the costs of the books amonst themselves while we have access via content share. Had we known this beforehand, we'd have consolidated the books on my account.
Agreed, even though there was a message saying the DM didn't own the monster, I was still able to place shared content tokens weeks ago. I took over as DM for Descent into Avernus that my friend owns and shares. Mid June I was able to place Abyssal Chickens on my first map despite the message. Now I can't place them at all despite them being on the map already from before. WotC seem to be purposefully removing features, like a la carte purchases, to push their new books...
Just recently, I've been having issues loading player tokens on a map for my campaign. It worked a few weeks ago, but lately it just spins and says to try refreshing the browser (refreshing doesn't help). Anyone else having this problem lately?

This is the current, intentional functionality; shared content cannot be used in Maps. The DM must own the content they wish to use
