Pre-ordered the Physical + Digital bundle on March 15th. I followed the directions to check my entitlements. My entitlements state that they are synced, yet Vecna Eve of Ruin is not listed there. I've emailed support and not yet received a reply. This is ridiculous. I'm going to be asking for a refund of at least the digital portion of this purchase. All of us paid a lot of money to get that content today, 5/7/24 and you guys have failed to fulfill your end of the bargain.
just got a reply from the support ...., bought the Digital on 2/13/24 and it sayd it would have E.A. even without physical version
Hey,
We're happy to hear from you again. Looking at your account, it appears that the digital version of Vecna: Eve of Ruin was purchased from D&D Beyond Marketplace.
Early Access for Vecna: Eve of Ruin was only available for Physical & Digital bundle orders placed prior to April 30th, 2024 via the D&D Store. For more information about Pre-Orders, please see: Pre-Order FAQ.
We sincerely appreciate your feedback. It's important that your voice is heard and we assure you that requests of this nature are particularly important to our company as we strive to build a better experience for you.
So from now on its Screenshot the shop page so you get what you buy ...
well then its 13 days waiting to see what they do with the Vecna from two years ago
OK, I only ordered the digital, not the bundle (I only get physical books for rule, not adventures). I think the policy early access is only granted if you bundle is ridiculous, but at the very least it should be made much more explicit--like with a pop up warning!--when purchasing.
I pre-ordered the digital+physical bundle and have not received early access yet. I have not received an email containing a redemption key, and I have checked my spam folder. Also, my licenses are currently in-sync.
Master Tier subscription since nearly day 1. Pre order every book with legendary bundle perk. Entitlements are fully synced, and all I got on May 7th was access to only the table of contents. Click on any section header and takes me to the “new” store. Preordered back in early February pretty sure Early Access means the whole book not just the Chapter Index. 🤬
I too got the generic cut and paste reply from support that doesn't acknowledge any wrong doing and just says early access is only available to the bundles. So, I replied with this:
Your website listed early access as a perk for the digital only preorder until it was removed around a week ago. I would have NEVER preordered from your website if I wasn't promised early access. Your company pulled a bait and switch whether it was intentional or not and it will be made right I assure you.
There are two options here, either grant me early access or refund my purchase. If you don't do either, I will contact my bank to dispute the charge and force a refund. Either way, one of those two things will happen. I suggest you take the route which won't cause you to lose me as a customer.
They got back to me immediately and said they're issuing a refund. I would've just preferred early access but at least it's "resolved".
Like all of the rest of you I am mad as hell about this and am requesting a refund. I suggest you all do the same, all they care about is money so this is the only way they'll learn and maybe respond
Wizards tweeted out that early access was available at various points from Feb through to even today - but specifically via marketplace on april 30th and it specifies being available ON the marketplace:
"What happens if I placed a preorder before the marketplace change?
Your order is safe and sound! If you preordered a bundle containing both physical and digital items, you can still find your order on our partner site. Additionally, your content will unlock on the scheduled early access date. For all other digital purchases, you can check your Order History in the marketplace to find the latest status."
it fails to say that preorders made AFTER the update will not be honored as previously advertised.
customers continue to make preorders via the marketplace, which is where they were directed to, fully expecting to receive early access on May 7th.
May 7th came, and many who had preordered were denied that early access.
when questioned about this, customers were told that there was an update reflecting the change to preorders from marketplace on the bottom of two articles on dndbeyond that was done on May 2nd:
from this point there are now a lot of confused and upset customers.
Feedback:
The advertisements were clearly there that adverted early access if the bundle was purchased via the marketplace. Wotc tweeted that advertisement. We have been told that Wizards cannot be held responsible for faulty articles written by 3rd party outlets, however, as clear as day, we have a tweet direct from Wizards of the Coast that early access is available if bundles are ordered via the marketplace. No notice at all was provided that that ceased to be the case, save for a small blurb buried at the bottom of two articles that came out on or before April 29th (that were updated on May 2nd), of which many people are not going to go back and re-read just in case there was an update mentioned about preorders.
The nature of twitter is to scroll through and read what pops out. The nature of dndbeyond's articles is to read them and when done, close them out, not to return to them a day (or days) later in the event it's been updated. Via the tweet (again found here : https://twitter.com/Wizards_DnD/status/1785350333541302701 ) and hitting the landing page to place the bundle order just so that we could get early access, No notice was provided that the early access was cancelled on that landing page, nor on the order page. To depend on a notice that was buried at the bottom of two articles written to provide notice that an advertised perk of preordering has ceased to exist is, frankly, disingenuous. For WotC to not acknowledge this in any way is insulting.
Order landing pages should and MUST contain proper notices if they deviate from the previously advertised promotion.
If the marketplace update destroyed the early access ability, then Wizards of the Coast needs to be transparent about that and make good on their advertisements.
If there was a cutoff date for the perk of early access via preorders on the marketplace, Wizards of the Coast should have been transparent about that.
I hope this finds the right eyes.

I am having the same issue! Mine says that I am in sync, but still not receiving my purchase!
All that I get is:
Account Entitlements
Your entitlements data is in sync! You should have nothing to worry about, but contact our Support Team if you're having problems accessing your purchased content.
Really not pleased that I have a physical book, but can't read the pre-purchased material on DnDBeyond.com. I, like many others recall the pre-order being for digital as well as bundled purchases. So what, besides wait, do I need to do to gain access to the digital material?
Absolutely no idea forums are filled with others with the same issue but no official word as of May 11th (4days since early access). Hoping after the holiday weekend we get some response.
Hey Mod, I haven't gotten my physical book yet to see if it's different, but why does the map for Lambent Zenith not have numbering on the DM map. In fact the DM map and the Player map are identical. The text gives references like Z1a & Z1b, Z2, Z3, etc. The map has nothing? Is this an error in the digital version in D&D Beyond and D&D beyond maps? Or is this an error from WOTC in their publishing/editing?

This article from Screen Rant was posted on April 18th halfway down it explicitly says that the digital version gets all the preorder perks.
https://screenrant.com/dnd-vecna-eve-ruin-release-preorders-price-info/
If this wasn't the case why didn't Wotc contact Screen Rant with a correction.
This is clearly, at least in Australia, a false advertising case. Pretty open and shut.

For those of us who purchased the physical plus digital preorder deal, when should we expect our physical book to arrive?
False advertising is grounds for cancellation the charge on your credit card
Is there a reason the issues and support thread, started by an employee, is silent on issues and totally lacking support?
