Hi! I have a quick question. Had a quick look around the forum but couldn't find an answer, so decided to leave a new post. I apologize if this question has already been answered.
I'm new to the site, so I apologize if I'm misunderstanding anything. But as far as I understand, to get access to the full character creator I need to buy books on the marketplace. For example, if I want to create a cleric with any domain other than "life", then I need to buy the Player's Handbook (and maybe some others for other domains).
Question is can I buy a pre-order of the 2024 books and use them now when creating a character? Or do I need to purchase the older books (2014?) that are available now if I plan to start playing now.

No, pre-orders do not grant immediate access. You will be able to access the content on the release date, 1 week before that with a Hero Tier subscription early access perk, and 2 weeks before the release date with a Master Tier subscription early access perk.

Ah, thanks, so right now I should buy 2014 editions!
