There is a home brew feat fix for this. There is a series of ritual caster home brew feats that scale as the feat increases. I would check them out. It works really well. You just change the feat out when you get to the next level of Ritual caster.
Right now the best workaround seems to be making it homebrew yourself, or seeing if someone's already made a working homebrew since the devs seem too focused on rehashing old content to make more money rather than fixing stuff for the playerbase.
Too bad they don't have a structure and process that can respond to these kinds of issues quickly. I sense some pretty bad spaghetti code is at play. But what the heck do I know from 15+ years as software engineer.
I too am struggling with this, created a separate thread over a week ago and just found this thread while checking on my previous post. 02.11.25 and still a problem.

20 years here, and yes this smells like spaghetti for sure.
I took this feat on a cleric. As others reported, the selected ritual spells do not show on the character spell list, only under the features & traits details section.
I hate to pile on, but this is a fairly significant bug. I'd think it would have a higher priority to fix than it currently must. It's sad that we can fairly easily create our own workaround but they won't take the time to fix the code. :-/
Still an issue, and disappointing to see it hasn't been fixed so long after the content was officially released. The whole point of taking ritual caster is to have those spells available, and not listing them with other spells is problematic for both DM's and Players. This isn't a niche character/subclass feature, but part of the current core rules!
It's astonishing that this bug is five years old and still exists. How is this even possible for a paid subscription service!?
It's been 8 months.
This feat is from the 2024 PHB released start of September 2024. We are now May 2025. 8 months.
Even if you were mistaking this for the 2014 PHB's version, which is working correctly btw, was released over 7 years ago. So, either way, I don't know where you're getting 5 years from.

Still, for such a prominent bug it's a long time. However, when 2014 PHB released the Life Cleric's Disciple of Life feature didn't work at all. That was a much easier thing to fix and had a lot more demand to be fixed and had a bigger dev team back then - and that still took years to get fixed. So, I don't have high hopes for this being fixed anytime soon.
For full functionality the best workaround is to homebrew a copy of the subclass you're using and add the functions as Subclass features - which will be fully supported. Upside is this will be fully functional throughout the character's career, the downside is you can't just add it to multiple characters. There's the homebrew feat versions but listing those is technically against the site's homebrew rules, but using them personally is fine : but the full functionality cannot be added (since it doesn't exist in the "feat" system that we can use for homebrewing).
If anyone wants to know how to recreate as a subclass feature for full functionality as a workaround, let me know and I'll make a video for it.

Tried different spells, tried removing and readding the feat, no change. It does update the ability score with whatever ability is chosen but that's all.

I seem to be having this problem. Any workarounds?

Can confirm that this bug still exists. Will explore homebrew options.

indeed
Running into this exact issue, just adding to the pile a bit, hopefully someone will pick it up at some point!
I am still having this issue. I picked up the ritual caster feat but the spells aren't showing up on my list of prepared spells.

Having this same issue.

I'm having this issue also. I've selected Ritual caster, and on my warlock and the selected ritual spells doesn't appear on the spell list.
Already tried to remove all spells, and also add VIA the character sheet (add feat.)
Also still having the bug. https://www.dndbeyond.com/characters/139429928
Tried different spells, tried removing and readding the feat, no change. It does update the ability score with whatever ability is chosen but that's all.
Bumping as this remains an issue still.
There are 3 homebrew feats that you can swap out as you level up. Thank you again Mediocre.
