Bro did they get rid of ki points? All i see is something called “focus points?” Its hella confusing and figured it must be from that new rule book. How do i turn off the new rule book? Or get my sheet to use proper terminology?
I only have the original books, but i was forced into the new rule set. This is not what I payed for or wanted. I have multiple campaigns and share content, but everyone has withdrawn from the platform.

As has been discussed in many places, everyone 'owns' the 2024 Free Rules, which is what the character classes are based off. It's free so you can't refuse it.
This is intentional, because WOTC won't be making more 2014 material, and Hasbro demands money, so they need to convince everyone to move up. The only real option is to walk after making it clear that you're walking because of this.
I just sent several complaints to the company about it. I sincerely doubt anyone cares. WHERE IS ALL THE OUTRAGE ON THE INTERNET ABOUT THIS? WHERE IS THE SOCIAL MEDIA PRESSURE?! THIS is actually something worth being pissed and worth boycotting D&D Beyond/Fandom/WoTC over. And yet, not a peep.
Just wanted to say thank you. It took reading this whole thread to finally get that I just had to go back and redo my character and choose 2014. You're appreciated!
If I have ONLY the "2014 Core Rules" selected on my character creation, THAT'S ALL I SHOULD SEE. Period. End of Story. Forcing people to be constantly purchasing new books/source material to play a Hobby is messed up.

If that’s the only source category you have checked, then you will only see character options from those sources.
No one is forcing anyone to purchase anything.
They're probably referring to things like links defaulting to the 2024 rules. Which, to be fair, there SHOULD be a toggle for that in the character settings.
For stuff handled on the sheet, the handling of Conditions is fine (where it shows both sets of rules).

You're about a month late. They added a toggle so you can turn off the 2024 rules.
I have no such option in my Dnd Beyond app
tryed everything -no matter what I tick or untick
it keeps saying PHB-2024 in features &Traits
