why am I being Charged $40 when the last thing I purchased was over a week ago and the payment for that already went through?!? what's going on? anyone else having this issue?
Bingo, I did the math because i was confused too but from the looks of it the initial $67.47 payment whenever you got the 2024 digital + physical bundle was for the 3 digital copies of the books, so those are covered. The payment of $40.41 is for the physical PHB itself, so when they ship the DMG and MM expect charges of the same price. It all totals to $188.7 if you bought your bundle in the US.
I already paid in full for all of that. I am pretty sure I got twice. would be nice if a Wizards employee would respond to my ticket to clarify what's going on.
Go to the Marketplace and look at your order history. I had a bunch of digital content charge in June and my physical PHB charge and ship today. It’s not a duplicate charge.
I just ordered the digital and physical bundle and my bank shows that pending is the $180 charge is there for everything and then a separate charge for $40. What the heck is going on?
nope I just called my credit card company and got a new card so dnd beyond cannot give me anymore surprise charges because they do not have access to my new card number. I did submit a ticket to dnd beyond customer service but so far, no response at this point I doubt I will receive one or an apology. I doubt I will do anymore business with dnd beyond which sucks because I've already sunk like $300+ on this app with all the digital books I've bought. you would think when someone spends as much as I have, they would treat you better but guess not.
I thought I had this problem too, but i went back and checked through my credit card history, and it looks like they refunded me for the majority of the first purchase of the bundle. So, now it shows as approx. $70 on the day i bought the bundle, and $30-40 increments later.
definitely go back and check your initial purchase cause i think thats where the confusion is.
I just ordered the book and digital copy of the players handbook and got an extra charge of $48.11. I don’t know why or where the charge is coming from.
I got hit with these charges too. I'm hoping they can revert, it will be a little odd to file a fraud claim against them while justifying a subscription.
Yup! Me as well.. sorry to say misery loves company, but hopefully a ticket helps I guess ... think it's finally time after 5 years to cancel my master tier.

I live for that moment you look at your table, and everyone is laughing, smiling, or emotionally invested.
I tried to do some calculating and it still confuses me a little, but I may have sorted it out after looking at their Pre-Order FAQ.
It looks like they tentatively charge for the cost of the full order, but won't process that full amount at once. Instead, it will show the charge, but only process the costs of the physical items being shipped (including tax and any eligible shipping) and, separately, the digital items you've received. Anything still on pre-order won't be processed until it ships and you receive the digital items. What is actually processed will show up on your card statement.
It gets a little wonky when you include bundle discounts and such, is part of the problem.
The main problem is if they charge and process your purchase in full, plus those "extra" charges. If both are being fully processed, then, yes, you are being charged twice and need to get a resolution from Beyond for certain.
I'm sure there's a better way for them to do this, but so far, that's about what I can gather from how they do their pre-orders. And probably why they don't always respond to those tickets, since they presume the FAQ clearly answers the problem. It'd be nice if they were more straight forward about it during the purchase, however. Or at least respond to tickets, tapping the sign with the pre-order policy on it.

This also happened to me
The print 2024 PHB has started shipping and they weren't (probably weren't allowed to) charging the card for it until it actually shipped.

Have either of you had your issue resolved? I put in a ticket and not so much as a message back save for the auto reply...
