I no longer have access to this subclass. I currently play a 2014 Spirits bard but I now lack the ability to create a new one - using 2014 or 2024. I still have access to the Source material (Ravenloft)
On a related note, I also appear to have lost access to Spirit of the Dead, a spell from The Book of Many Things (also used by this same subclass). It is no longer available as necromantic spell available via the level 6 Spirit Session feature.
1. Does the character have access to Ravenloft? Even if you have access to view the subclass, the character has to be actively in a campaign with Master Tier and Sharing to gain access unless you own the book yourself. I'm still seeing Spirits on both '14 and '24.
2. Do you have the Expanded toggle on in the character settings? That's required for access to Ravenloft content.
3. Do you own the Book of Many Things? It's not enough to have it shared to you, you can only add spells you own.

That indeed was the issue. I had to have the character invited to a campaign to do all of the above. Yuck! :)

Any ideas?
Geesh, I can't even create a new Homebrew spell using Spirit of Death as the template?!?
3 things.
