To start, I'm making a private subclass to use in a campaign I will be joining of me and a few friends.
The Scenario: I'm making a Rouge Subclass similar to Arcane Trickster (in that is casts spells), except you gain very specific spells at certain levels (E.Blast @ 3, M.Step @ 5, Haste and Slow @ 13, etc.)
The Problem: No matter what options I select in the "Spells" section of Class features, it doesnt show up on my spell list, and when I manage to get them to show up, they show up improperly (EX. A 3rd that can be cast "at will")
Is there a general solution? or do I have to do something very specific? Has this happened to anyone else? If so how did you fix it?
I'll update this thread if anything new happens on my end.
First, I'm not sure but I don't think that this is the correct forum to post asking for help re: homebrew.
Second you can't exactly do what your describing, because if you want to use Arcane Trickster spell progression Misty Step wouldn't be available until level 7.
If you want to make an Arcane Trickster build, but use your own modified spell list that would be very easy to do.
If you want to get spells outside of spell progression and then have limited uses per day, that can also be done, but it is more complicated and more work.
Let me know exactly what you are trying to do and I can give you detailed steps.
