I'm in the middle of a 2+ year campaign using 2014 rules. Suddenly my players are adding equipment and other 2024 stuff to their characters and I have to delete it. And where can I find the 2014 equipment to add? Do I have to stop using D&D Beyond?

There do not even seem to be legacy versions of weapons, meaning they all show things like Nick, Vex and properties from the 2024 rules. Armor has the same issue, but not sure if there are any material changes there. Most other gear does seem to at least have legacy versions.

Talk to your players and make sure they're selecting the legacy versions of items.
Weapons and armor don't have legacy options. However, Weapon Mastery properties only apply if you have the appropriate class feature.
The other note: A couple of weapons have modified damage dice. Be aware of that.
