"We are not changing players’ current character sheets, except for relabeling and renaming. Examples include Races to Species, Inspiration to Heroic Inspiration, and Cast Spell to Magic."
This has proven false. The 2024 rules and systems have altered the displayed mechanics of my previously-created Legacy characters, not just the names, labels, and presentation.
On the Actions page, the new mechanics for Grapple and Shove are displayed.
On every Weapon, the new mechanics for Weapon Mastery are displayed.
Under "CONDITIONS" the new mechanics are displayed first, requiring users to scroll for the Legacy mechanics. This can be confusing as the relevant answer to the system being used should be first.
If dndbeyond is committed to preserving 5e (2014) players, our character sheets should reflect that. Let us switch back to not seeing irrelevant mechanics for our legacy characters on our legacy character sheets. Thank you.
Also, when selecting spells for legacy characters during lv up or creation (such as legacy bard's magical secrets), only the 2024 version of the spell is now available. Looks like they are taking functionality away bit by bit. I won't be renewing my subscription if they are going to go back on their word for the 20th time.
