Which version of the Player's Handbook did you purchase?
The 2014 version did contain the School of Necromancy subclass. The 2024 version does not.

Also, if you did buy the 2014, you need to have the 2014 core rules toggle on in the builder to use stuff from the old PHB with the new classes.
