Okay, so I can't tell if it's broken or if the wording is just bad, but is 2024 Flame Blade broken? According to what I can tell, it's supposed to gain 1d6 per spell level above 2nd, but in a character sheet it functions like the original, gaining 1d6 every 2 levels after 2nd. Is it supposed to function the same and the wording is just crap?

It is supposed to gain 1d6 damage every additional slot level (i.e., scaling twice as fast as the 2014 version). The fact that it doesn't in D&D Beyond is a bug.
If there's a discrepancy between the written rules and the implementation of them on D&D Beyond, the written rules win.
