Basically the title. My group and I cannot figure out why on earth D&D beyond is spitting out a +11 damage bonus to a lvl 1 barbarian handaxe attack. It's also adding +11 dmg to his unarmed strike.
Standard stat block array, and he has 17 strength, and is currently raging. The very most we could math out is +7 (3 str, 2 proficiency, 2 raging). What on earth is going on?

just FYI, you add proficiency to the attack roll, not the damage roll unless you have a feature or feat that permits that. Definitely need to see this character sheet.

Could you make your character sheet public and provide a link so I can take a look at it?

i have the same issue with a player character in one of my campaigns.
when rage is activated, the damage on the great axe jumps from 1d12+6 to 1d12+14.
