The subclass creation from scratch is broken, here a "quick" workaround.
Prerequisites:
There must be an already existing subclass on the site for your chosen class (I think almost every class has at least one).
Let’s say I want to create a subclass for the 2014 Sorcerer (this also works for the 2024 version).
The steps are:
Select the class you want to create the subclass for (in this case, the 2014 Sorcerer — the 2024 edition works too).
In the section below called “Select an existing subclass as a template”, choose a subclass. (Depending on how many books you’ve purchased on the site, you may see more or fewer subclasses — but that’s not important.) In my case, I picked the Wild Magic subclass.
Click the Create button.
After that, just modify whatever you need (name, version, short description, class features, etc.), and click Save Changes.
For my example, I called my subclass Banana1, version 69, with the description "Banana win", and a class feature called Banana at level 1.
And here's the result: the first one is one of my older homebrew creations, but the second one is the mythical Banana1 subclass for my Sorcerer.
Tasha’s Cauldron of Everything and Xanathar’s Guide to Everything work for all classes that have subclasses for both the 2014 and 2024 versions — no issues there.
The only catch is that, to create a subclass using these sources, the player must either:
Own the digital copies on the site,
Have access to them through content sharing.
Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to access the subclass codes for some 2024 classes, so the safest option for now is to either wait for the dev team to fix the issue or purchase one of those two sources (at least they’re working for now).
This doesn't seem to work for Barbarians. With any Barbarian subclass, it works to the point you add subclass features if creating from scratch, or immediately if you try and create a copy of an existing subclass with features already present.

I'm sorry i'm not following, with this method you cannot create the subclass for barbarian?
I did another test just to be sure and i was able to create the subclass with class feature aswell (they are alla banana themed but still you get my point). it's the 2014 version (in this case)

Okay, now I understand your problem. It seems that the only subclass free for everyone — Pact of the Berserker for the 2024 version of the Barbarian — doesn’t work. Unfortunately, I don’t have access to the code for that specific subclass. As an example, the same subclass for the 2014 version (Pact of the Berserker) uses the ID 2450065.
If I manage to get my hands on the correct code somehow, I’ll post a link to bypass the "Create" button.
Here, 2190875-barbarian is the 2024 version of the Barbarian class, and 2450065 is the subclass ID for Pact of the Berserker.
I thought I could just mix them together, but sadly the subclass version is tied to 2014, so the result ends up being for the 2014 Barbarian, not the 2024 one.
if you have the sourcebook : The cauldron of tasha or xanatrax guide to everything you can create a 2024 version by modifing one of them
I'll update on this but probably (i hope) the devs will fix the issue before i can find that code
So it seems this does work for 2014 Barbarians, but NOT for 2024 Barbarians using the Core subclasses as a template. You're right in that it does work for 2024 rules if you use a one of the expanded rules books.
Thanks for your insights. Do we know why this is broken at the moment? It's very frustrating.

if i have to guess it's maybe because of the new subclasses they added in the new update? not sure about it

Although the Barbarian class is still somewhat broken — as of now, you can’t copy certain templates — that issue can be worked around if you have the codes for the templates you want to copy.
I really wish the dev team (or whoever is in charge of this) would share the subclass codes. Even if you have the code, you still need to own the source on the site; otherwise, it returns a 430 Forbidden error. So, you can’t bypass the system without owning the content — but for people who have purchased the books, this would help them avoid this common issue.

I did try a dumb workaround by pasting this mashup link:
