Okay so my character is a sorcerer who just got Magic initiate and whilst he has the ability to "Use" the lvl 1 spell he doesn't have the ability to "Cast" the spell with any of his spell slots which is contrary to the last bit of the feat that states "You can also cast the spell using any spell slots you have."
