im running a campaign and my sorcerer wants to take learn chaos bolt, but even though I have the right sources (we use 2014 rules and I have xanathars in my lib) it doest show up.
anyone has any idea why?
same goes for catalpult, i just realized is from the same source. Im not sure how I can filter, to see if xanathars spells are included at all. I use content sharing with my party, and it def. works with other stuff from xanathars...

Is the character actually in the campaign?
Is "Expanded Rules" checked on the Home tab of the character builder?

while ignoring that chromatic orb is boring, isnt it older than chaos bolt?
I think jl8e is talking about the 2024 version of Chromatic Orb, which was updated to include a “bouncing” effect similar to Chaos Bolt.
