The last few days I have noticed that the click and drag feature, including the tool to do so, on the DND Beyond maps now causes the image to get dragged instead of allowing you to move around the map. This happens even when you are moving pieces around the map as well... unless you click, drag, and then without moving the cursor, click again, release it, and then click and drag to move the map/pieces.
It is very exhausting and annoying enough as a player, but as a DM it is now taking an agonizing amount of time to do simple actions because of this bug.
I am using the latest version of Firefox, and this issues has not been happening before last week when I used the program last.
Do you have the Pan tool selected instead of the Select tool? I've noticed that if neither are selected, you can drag the map around to pan, and select items, but if one or the other tool is selected you can only do that.
This is happening to me right now (in Firefox). What appears to be happening is that the browser's default behavior for clicking and dragging an image is occurring instead of what the Maps tool normally overrides it with.
I've found that if I click on a token and move that, the map starts behaving normally again, but after a while the issue comes back. Clicking on another tab and then clicking back, or refreshing the page, also fixes it temporarily.
Good evening yall,

It doesn't matter what tool is selected, the entire map screen keeps breaking when I try and do or move anything around on it.
Update: while using the Fog Of War tool, it also stopped working and started dragging the image instead.
Do you get the same issue in another browser or on another device?

I just had this thought myself and tried Edge instead and I am no longer having the issue.
Not sure if it's a problem with Friefox, or DND Beyond, or a combination of both.
*Edit*
It's just odd because I've been using DND Beyond with Firefox for months and did not have this problem with it until last week.
I'm currently using Firefox (on a Mac) and it's working fine for me.
What if you use Firefox's Troubleshoot Mode?

I've had no problems in Chrome either.

I've got a Maps heavy game session coming up in an hour so I'll keep an eye out on it on Chrome, but it sounds like a Firefox specific issue.
Update: 6hr session, no issues.
