I was explaining the wizard spellbook and preparing spells to a player I'm DMing for, only to discover that fore some reason "prepare" and "unprepare" have been replaced with "learn" and "delete" or "remove" in the 2024 wizard character builder spell management menus (both "manage spells" and "manage character & levels" menus).
I double-checked that the 2024 handbook still had wizards "preparing" spells (which it did), and I can't believe how bad the 2024 wizard tooltips are.
In "manage spells" & in manage character & levels" menus, the wizard leveled spells shouldn't be using the words "learn" AND "remove" or "delete" for the wizard spellbook spells section. It should say "prepare" and something along the lines of "unprepare". As it is, it makes the character builder for the 2024 wizard extremely confusing to both new and old players.
Learn and remove should only be used for spells that are being added or removed from the spellbook while using the "add spells" menus. When you're in the spellbook menu or prepared spells menu, it should be "prepare" and "unprepare" (or another word that doesn't sound like "delete" or "remove" from the spellbook).
Literally this should just be updating string/text variables for buttons, so unless someone was an idiot and made the whole system use the same instance of spells across both add spells, spellbook, and prepared spells section, this should be a quick change.
