I have created a new campaign and previously was able to add premade characters to the campaign as the DM under the "View Campaign" section of DnDBeyond. however that is no longer the case. I was previously able to add a few characters, but I noticed I added one twice by mistake. After removing it I was not able to add any more characters.
Thinking this was a bug or maybe some weird cache data issue I've done the following trouble shooting:
delete all the characters and attempt to readd them to the campaign.
Delete the campaign and start a new one
log out and log back in.
use a new browser
log in on another computer
This problem has been going on for about 2 weeks now, no resolution. I was unable to find any information while searching online and these forums, but that easily could be a skill issue on my end.
The campaign is Stormwreck Isle if that matters. any help or suggestions would be great! Thank you for your time.
Hey mate I encountered the same problem. I used the add premade character button and added characters from there for my Welcome to hell fire club campaign. when I did this it created them and added them to my character collection. I had to remove one because I doubled it up by accident and when I did the button was no longer there. I did all the same things you did and couldn't find a fix, but I did find a way around it. I just deleted all characters just to get a clean slate. I then remade them in the character builder using the premade section, then when viewing your campaign use the invite link and paste it into your browser then add the characters from there. I had to do this for each character I wanted to add.
I know its a late reply you probs figured it out so leaving this here for other people, hope this helps.
