I have a Spelljammer Giff Fighter (2014) character, and I want to add pistols and musket on him, but I can't because no matter what I allow as filter, I don't have the option for pistols or muskets. I can add Pistol +1 and Musket +1, but simple, plain pistols or muskets? Nope. They're in the 2014 Dungeon Master's Guide that I own, though.
I have all WotC books purchased, including the old core books and the new ones (maybe that's because of a conflict).
I screenshot both the "Home" tab and the "Equipment" tab (with "pistol" entered to filter). You can find them here: https://imgur.com/a/XEX9Omh
Trying to add those weapons directly on the character sheet itself also results in the pistol and musket missing (even though their respective variants are available).
Give your character 2 levels of Artificer. Add the Repeating Weapon infusion. In the character sheet, go to that infusion in the inventory and choose a pistol to be infused. That will put a pistol in your inventory. Then you can remove the infusion and then remove the Artificer levels.

When you say you own the book, does that mean you purchased it yourself or that it's shared with you?

My account entitlements was *not* in sync. I've synced, emptied my cache, and yet the issue persists.
