Summary When adding spells to a homebrew background’s Additional Spell List, the spell picker lets you choose between the 2014 and 2024 versions of a spell. However, no matter which version you select, the resulting link always points to the 2014 version.
Steps to Reproduce
Create a new homebrew background or edit an existing one (e.g. Azorius Functionary).
Go to Additional Spell List.
Add a spell using the spell picker.
In the picker, select the 2024 version of a spell (not the 2014 one).
Save the background.
View the background (or a character using it) and click the spell in the Additional Spell List.
Expected Behavior
The spell link should point to the 2024 version of the spell when that version is selected in the spell picker.
Actual Behavior
Regardless of whether the 2014 or 2024 version is chosen in the spell picker, the link in the Additional Spell List always resolves to the 2014 version of the spell.
Notes
This happens consistently for me when editing the Azorius Functionary background to use 2024 spells.
It appears that the UI for the spell picker correctly shows multiple versions, but the saved reference always targets the legacy 2014 spell.
