I have a large battle and each player has 3 (lower level) NPCs to run. I created the NPCs and added them to the campaign and unclaimed them per various instructions. The players can claim the NPCs but cannot see their stats, roll for them etc. As DM, I cannot see their stats either, just AC, hit points and initiative.
I saw a suggestion to try add NPC as homebrew monsters, but players cannot see monster's stats either.
I saw a suggestion for using SideKicks, but that seems to only use monsters, and they cannot see the stat block.
It seems like this can be done, what am i missing?
Do you have content sharing enabled? There's no reason they wouldn't be able to see monsters' stat blocks unless you don't have content sharing enabled, and that might also prevent them from accessing the characters' stats.
Also, what are the NPC's privacy settings? Did you set it to "Campaign Only" or "Public"? Or is it set to "Private"? This would be something you set at the "Home" tab of the character creator.
Edit to add: I'd suggest you re-post this in the Bugs and Support forum, as that's where you'll get answers from people who know DnDBeyond the best.
I created the NPCs as monsters, but none of the players can see the monster's stats. Which is good I guess, i don't want them seeing monster stats. But its working against me here. I have not found any permission to allow them to see the stats......I just want the players to be able to quickly use them.
I added them as sidekicks, as added them to the map, but still no ability to see stats or roll for the NPCs.

I have content sharing on, and they can see all my purchased books.
I have them all as Public now, since they could not see them when set to Campaign Only

OK, at least one player can open sidekicks and see the NPC and roll for them. so I guess we will work it from here, rather than the map.
As DM I love rolling off the map. But I guess players cannot.
It's been awhile, but I think I was just able to "Claim" an npc and run him as a character of mine. Your players cannot do that?
Just a thought, are they all on the app and not the website?
