Reaching out with an issue which arose when we started our regular playing session last night: my dice rolls. From the day I resumed playing D&D in the early days of the pandemic, I've been using D&D Beyond's character sheet, along with the Beyond20 browser plug-in, to handle the dice rolling. Click on the attack icon (for instance), the dice roll, and the results get posted to our Discord channel. All good.
Last night, first combat, I click on the appropriate weapon icon, nothing happens. After several minutes of futzing around I realise that the attack is basically locked and loaded, so to speak, in D&D Beyond's dice rollers (in the lower left corner of the screen/interface), but I need to click on the 'roll' button for the dice to actually get rolled. This is a new (and unexpected, and mildly annoying) behavior, as the dice roll used to be automatic. I have not been able to fix this.
I tried and failed to sort that out, and while I was exploring the problem, I also discovered that my various rolls are posted inconsistently in the Discord channel, as can be seen on the screen shot:
Saves, Initiatives, Skills, Abilities Checks and some spells get a title card with character icon. Weapons attacks and some other spells don't. I can't figure out why.
Any help regarding both problems would be greatly appreciated!
Avrae is somehow involved as well – if you take a look at the screen shot, the first set of rolls, for instance, were channeled through it.
Doesn't change what the mod said—any issues involving third party extensions should be directed to the developers of those extensions, not D&D Beyond. DDB has no control over what third party stuff does

Yup, I know, got it. I was responding to the mod themselves bringing up Avrae. That is all.
I’m still curious whether that display inconsistency happens with Beyond 20 disabled, though. That should help diagnose where exactly the issue is occurring.

Apologies for the delay! If I deactivate Beyond20, the ability to click on the attack type's icon to roll the dice disappears entirely, but as a counterpoint all the rolls, regardless of type, now automatically roll the appropriate dice and generate the appropriate title card. There seems to be some quirk of information exchange between DnDBeyond, Beyond20 and Avrae which had to be untangled. The Beyond20 team is aware of the bug and has updated the extension, but it has not yet been approved for use on the Chrome / Firefox webstores.
this will still leave open the question of the 'title cards' which Avrae pushes to Discord being there for some things but not all, but I'll wait until Beyond20 is fixed to worry about what is essentially a minor esthetics issue.
The title cards issue looks, tentatively, to be tied to Attack Rolls (and the damage attached to them) vs Everything Else. I might play around with this in a bit.
I was having the same issue with the Beyond20 Chrome extension and Roll20. I removed B20 from Chrome and then reinstalled it. That appears to have resolved the issue.
The one drawback I saw by doing this was that it wiped out the record of all of the recorded rolls in the chat log in our Roll20 campaign. Not a dealbreaker but it is sad because I often went back to the rolls when I wrote up the synopsis on Crit Notes.

ModeratorFor help with anything related to Beyond 20, you'll have to speak with them instead.
Do you have issues rolling dice on D&D Beyond with Beyond 20 disabled?
Have you considered using Avrae, D&D Beyond's own Discord bot, to share the rolls there instead?
