Bonus damage for True Strike with replicated magic weapons as part of Battlesmith on Beyond is not being allocated to the weapon.
My specific case; repeating shot heavy crossbow. Weapon acts as spell focus, is a +1 to attack, but data card for the weapon has a "-" cost for the weapon. Suspect the rule is being interpreted as written, as True Strike requires a value > 1cp.
EFoA lists a material value for repeating crossbows, and should be eligible.
Is this an error (not allowing ranged weapons with True Strike)? I see the spell is tagged as "melee" in the "attack/save" category but the PHB text does not restrict it to melee.

It's an error. The rules do very clearly allow ranged weapons to be used with True Strike.
That "attack/save" field is part of the spell's detail page on D&D Beyond and not part of the actual rules. The fact that it says "melee" is a data entry error.
I agree. Was looking for a moderator confirmation so I could cite it as authority (to my DM). But I see two different bug discussions which makes me think that yes, this is a bug.

ModeratorThat currently happens for all ranged weapons, regardless of whether Replicate Magic Item was used.
