When selecting an Expertise using the dropdown in the Wizard's Scholar feature, skill proficiencies from the selected background will also be in the list. This contradicts the feature text, which specifies: Choose one of the following skills in which you have proficiency: Arcana, History, Investigation, Medicine, Nature, or Religion.
This happens with any background, premade or custom, and with any skill added by the background.
