In creating a warlock subclass, I have added features with complete descriptions at each required level for the 2024 rules (3, 6, 10, 14). I do not have any other features, either - only the ones at those exact levels. However, the site still gives the issue:
"This homebrew Subclass does not have the necessary class features with the correct required levels."
I have tried rearranging and saving changes many times over. Is this a bug?
Those warnings only apply if you want to publish it for the global community (after it’s finished and playtested and ready to live forever). If this is just for use in your own games, it’s shared with your campaigns automatically and can already be used as-is.
If you do want to publish it, though, you could try hitting the main save button under Basic Information. That should retrigger the validator. If that doesn’t clear the error, there’s still an issue.
Are you sure it’s a 5.5e Warlock? If it’s a 5e Warlock, they’d need their first feature at level 1 instead. In the same place you see that error, it’ll show a class icon at the top that you can use to verify.

Thank you, but the issue does persist; I've double-checked, and it is the icon for the 2025 Warlock, with the error remaining even after re-saving in Basic Information. A potential source of the issue could be that I initially used the "Fiend Patron" template, then deleted and replaced the features, putting my own in the same level and view order spots. I'm not sure exactly why that would cause it to break, though.
After clicking the "Create New Version" button, I updated some of the wording on the first feature the subclass grants, "Form of Rebirth". However, after saving those changes on that feature and then clicking "Save Changes" again on the Basic Information page (as typically needs to be done to finalize any changes), the following error appears on the subclass:
This homebrew Subclass does not have the necessary class features with the correct required levels.
I'm unsure what's causing this particular error, since I made no changes to the number of features the subclass grants or at which levels they are granted. The only change was to some of the wording on the first feature. To review, I have a total of three subclass features at Level 3 (two actual features and one granting access to new spells), one feature at Level 6, one at Level 10, and one at Level 14. I had no issues sharing the subclass publicly with these features at these levels before, so I'm unclear on what's preventing me from sharing the updated version.
I have the same issue. I have tried everything and I keep getting the same error along with; This homebrew Subclass has data mapped to it that is licensed content or private homebrew. This typically occurs when licensed or private homebrew spells are linked to the Subclass.
I have insured that I only have spells found in the DMG and PG, no expansion material. I've even went though and retyped everything so it would be fresh and I can't get rid of either error.
For D&D 5.5e (2024) Warlock. Have 2 features at level 3, 1 at 6, 1 at 10, 1 at 14, just as Warlocks normally have. Have attempted creating additional ones at the same levels, no luck. Have attempted giving a feature at level 1, no luck. Attempted to make them in line with 5e (2014) levels (changing the level 3 to 1), no luck. Have attempted the "re-press the main save button" trick many times, no luck.
I understand it's only an issue if you are trying to publish it, but I am trying to publish it as I'm making the subclass for someone that is not in one of my campaigns. This is the third time I've run into this bug, both of the previous times it magically was publishable after about 3-6 hours, not the case this time.
Try adding a dummy feature at level 1, that sometimes fixes it (because the 5e version needed that).
Beyond keeps breaking these things, sometimes that works, sometimes it doesn't.
Tried this when you suggested it, but no luck with that, nor with adding and then removing a Level 1 feature.
And yeah, no luck for me either, Pika. Very odd that this has been ongoing for as long as it has. I wonder if anyone else has had luck creating and sharing new Warlock subclasses recently or if this is affecting everyone.
To give a small update from my end: I have tried with other classes, made subclasses to fill in then utilize templates and made notes.
It's only Warlock 2024 and 2014 having a problem so far when creating new for it at this time period.
I have noted that for the subclasses I have for Warlock currently, there is no error attached to it from previous as I have until I hit the save button which given me the error. They were fine as 3/8/2026 made a copy far back after publishing it, until hit save which for 5/13/2026 being a problem.

ModeratorAre those features all Granted? Additional or Replacement features won’t count.

Yes, they are set to Granted
Hi there! I'm currently trying to publish an updated version of my homebrew 5.5e Warlock subclass, The Feeder. The current version can be found at the following link:
https://www.dndbeyond.com/subclasses/2756948-feeder-patron
After clicking the "Create New Version" button, I updated some of the wording on the first feature the subclass grants, "Form of Rebirth". However, after saving those changes on that feature and then clicking "Save Changes" again on the Basic Information page (as typically needs to be done to finalize any changes), the following error appears on the subclass:

ModeratorThat is not the same issue. 😅
If you want to publish it for the global community, you can only use spells from the Basic Rules. Not every spell from the PHB is in the Basic Rules.
If you just want to use this in your own campaign, you can safely ignore that error and use any spells you want. You don’t need to publish it.

I am having a similar error as of current with BucklingSwashes and wondering if someone has figured out.

Been almost a week and I still cannot publish due to this bug.
