For some reason, I can't purchase the physical + digital copy of Ravenloft: The Horrors Within. I could buy just the physical copy or pay over $100 for a bundle that I don't want some of the items in (e.g., the Dungeon Master's screen). I already have half a dozen screens and don't use them because I play online.
When I go to purchase the bundle (Physical + Digital), only the physical can be selected for Product Format. I'll click the both option and it auto clicks back to physical.
If you are purchasing from outside the US for that bundle they are apparently transitioning such transactions over to D&D Beyond for Canada and it is not yet finished. It is supposed to be completed before Ravenloft The Horrors Within is released but given it's been over two weeks since that was announced is concerning for some of us.
Whether we get to still pre-order the Bundle as is if that window is missed remains to be seen but that is a concern too.
Also, as I often buy one bundle for myself and another for my DM will I still be able to buy two bundles at the same time and get two digital codes, one for each of us. As I often have the physical books shipped to the same location it has been convenient to purchase them together and shipped as one.
I just checked Marketplace and trying to do so either causes an error code to pop up, only one digital product to be added or none at all. I'd prefer to be able to buy and ship them as one so please allow for that functionality of obtaining two digital codes when buying multiples at the same time. The partner site allowed it.
I also checked to see if one could ship to Canada yet so for those who may come here to find out more information it is not available yet.
DDB only sends a code if you mark it as a gift during checkout, in which case you can purchase as many as you want.
I'll test that when the Bundles are able to be purchased to be sent to Canada. It seems odd that you'd mark it first as a gift then get to add a multiple or do you need to buy each bundle separately as that would defeat the purpose of having them shipped together.
If it's not marked as a gift, there is no code. The digital purchase gets applied directly to your account. As a safeguard, it won't let you buy it for your own account more than once; hence, you'd need to do a gift checkout for any additional copies.
If you want to make a single purchase and ship them together, you could purchase both as gifts, then redeem one of the codes on your own account as you did previously.

Unfortunately, I think we have a misunderstanding so I will wait until the Marketplace allows for Canadian shipping and hope it does get finished in time to get all the Bundle benefits from a pre-order and test then whether I can get the multiple codes as long as one is marked as a gift.
I understand the safeguard but it makes it very difficult to save on costs especially since the GST is collected as part of the purchase but it is never marked as collected so we get hit with the tax collection twice. Hence trying to do it as one.
You can't mark a single item in a transaction as a gift. That setting applies to the transaction as a whole. You'd need to either:
Purchase both bundles in a single gift transaction. You'll get two codes for the digital books and can redeem one on your account.
Purchase one bundle in a regular transaction, and the second in a separate gift transaction. The first will automatically apply the digital book to your account; only the second will provide a code.
The marketplace will stop you from purchasing multiple bundles outside of a gift transaction.

Thanks. I'll test that first one once the Canadian orders are available. Any firmer word yet when that will be available?
Where would that announcement be found when it actually gets completed? The regular Changelog or will there be an email announcement? I am sure there are a number of Canadians who would like to give the company money before the pre-order expires.

ModeratorCan you be more specific? What happens when you try to buy it, exactly? What steps did you take and where did you get stuck?

ModeratorAnd you haven't already purchased the digital?
Do you get the same issue in another browser or on another device?

I haven't purchased the digital.
Yes. I just checked with the Strixhaven and am dealing with the same issue. Choosing Digital or both will auto-switch to Physical.
It works on my mobile, but not on my PC.
