So i tried making a Dragon Shaman from DND 3.5 to be a ranger Subclass(thought it was the closest fit hp and skills wise). For some reason it wont let me publish it saying it resembles Circle of the Spores Druid and "This homebrew Subclass does not have the necessary class features with the correct required levels."
I did follow the 3,7,11,15 guides for ranger 5.5, and i tried looking through the Circle of the Spore druid to find any similarities. I'm not sure if this is a bug in the system mis-reporting something or if i did make it "similar" in a wording or feature like way?
Unfortunately we can't actually use that link until it's published.
However, the part about it being too similar to Circle of Spores is usually a sign that you've left the description or snippet field empty or very short. If you have text in those fields, try clicking the main Save button as that's what causes it to check that again.
The other part is something that D&D Beyond breaks every now and then, for no obvious reason, and while sometimes adding a dummy level 1 feature can help, sometimes it doesn't. I have a theory that this happens because they are pulling the list of levels a subclass should have features at from the list of levels some existing subclass does have features at, and sometimes that subclass is a weird one that has hidden features at unusual levels. This may be why the issue keeps coming back after each time they "fix" it, because new subclasses keep getting released, often in third-party content. (This is just an educated guess on my part; they've never explained why this keeps happening or even really acknowledged that it's an issue.)
Keep in mind that you do not need to publish the subclass for you or people in your campaigns to use it.
Ah thank you very much, I've saved it many times with the main, but just tried it and it can now be shared! Then again im not sure if some one saw this post and fixed it behind the scenes either lol

One thing I failed to mention in my first comment was that the thing that checks whether you have features at the right levels is also triggered by you clicking the main "Save" button. It is not triggered by you creating or saving individual subclass features. This means that even if the bug I mentioned isn't occurring, it may still erroneously flag it has not having the right feature levels if you've added features since the last time you clicked the main Save button.

This is the class in question. (I DO NOT HAVE IT SET TO OPEN IN NEW WINDOW)
