5.5e sourcebook not showing up in homebrew species option templates

Hey I recently bought the 5.5e handbook, and for some reason none of the species are showing up in the templates for making a homebrew species option. do I just reload the tab or is there something else I'm missing or something I need to do?

Go here and see if it says your entitlements are in sync. If it says they're not, click the button there to sync them, and when it's done, try your homebrew thing again.

The marketplace site is a separate system from the rest of the online tools, and while in theory it's supposed to automatically sync up when you make a purchase, sometimes it takes a while to do it on its own and you can hurry it along with that button.

yeah they're all synced and  everything and the species show up in the other template selections, they're just not showing up in the species option templates

Oh, sorry, I misunderstood. "Species options" aren't really a thing in the 5.5e rules, so the species that have been released so far for 5.5e don't generally support them. That's by design.

I'm trying to make a homebrew lineage for the Tiefling, so how would I do that without the species option?

Make a homebrew copy of the Tiefling species and change one of the existing lineage options in it to be what you want (or add a new one).
