Lantern of Tracking

I am unable to add the Lantern of Tracking to any characters in my campaign. Additionally, when i try to homebrew it, the item does not show up as an option to copy.

 Just for my own tests, you are the DM of the campaign, is that correct?

 Okay, from my observation, homebrewing the item within the character sheet prevents you from being able to copy it to other character sheets. You have to homebrew the item outside of the character sheet to be able to copy homebrew. Additionally, you have to have a subscription to use homebrew that isn't yours for a character, and to add your homebrew to someone else's character sheet (This second part I'm not 100% sure of.)

To confirm, do you have the book the "Lantern of Tracking" that is from (Icewind Dale: Rime of the Frostmaiden) bought in dnd beyond? You can't add items from books you don't have
