I've been playing with several bards who regularly cast Ominous Winds, a level 2 spell. I can see it in their spell lists and yet I can't find it in the spell archive on D&D Beyond or in either 5e or 5.5e Player's Handbook. I feel like I'm missing something crucial, or being really dumb.
Can anyone enlighten me as to where this spell exists and is explained?
On DDB’s Spells page, you’ll need to open Advanced Filters and enable Partnered Content before you’ll see any third-party spells there.
For future reference, you can also click any spell on their character sheet, then check the Source field in the sidebar to find out where it came from. (If it has Version instead of Source, it’s a homebrew spell.)

Hi all,
I've been playing with several bards who regularly cast Ominous Winds, a level 2 spell. I can see it in their spell lists and yet I can't find it in the spell archive on D&D Beyond or in either 5e or 5.5e Player's Handbook. I feel like I'm missing something crucial, or being really dumb.
Can anyone enlighten me as to where this spell exists and is explained?
Thanks,
Erik

ModeratorIt’s a third-party spell from Book of Ebon Tides.
