When you use the 5.5e Paladin class with a 5e subclass, the Oath spells don't get added to the spell list. They're supposed to, but this is a bug that's been around since the release of the 5.5e core books two years ago; unfortunately, they have yet to do anything about it.
Some people have had luck making a homebrew copy of the subclass and using that instead.
I think I'm using the 5e Paladin Class, as it says its from 2014, not 2024.
Oh, I misunderstood. I haven't seen this particular issue before, actually; I wonder if it's a side effect of some attempted fix for the issue I was describing.
Same problem - 5e(2014) Paladin has all Oath of the Crown spells double listed on the spells sheet. Note only the Command-Legacy shows as Always Prepared in the Manage Spells- Known Spells popup.
I have the same issue, playing 2014 rules, with a multi classed 3rd level Paladin Oath of the Open Seas, have Create or Destroy Water, and Expeditious Retreat listed twice, once for Paladin, and once for Oath Spells. I've tried rebuilding the character, switching to a different oath etc. It seams to correct it self if I change to a different oath.

I've just made a new Paladin and the Oath Spells seem to be appearing twice on my character sheet for some reason.
I haven't chosen them, because they come up as "always prepared", so is this an issue with how the subclass is coded?
