I’ve created a character on DnD Beyond (3rd Level Bard, 2024/5.5e) that has the origin feat Magic initiate. Which says in the second paragraph…
Level 1 Spell. Choose a level 1 spell from the same list you selected for this feat’s cantrips. You always have that spell prepared. You can cast it once without a spell slot, and you regain the ability to cast it in that way when you finish a Long Rest. You can also cast the spell using any spell slots you have.
and I’ve noticed that on the character sheet I can “Use” it once per long rest, but I’m not able to “Cast” it with my available spell slots. As the last sentence of the above paragraph says I can?
can this be corrected? as it is these little bugs that just end up putting folk off using the character builder, I know your working on a new one, but if people are put off using it once they are unlikely to return.
I’ve heard people say to me several times lately, that they would use the character builder if you didn’t have to remember all the little short comings it can’t do, and you just end up using pen and paper anyway.
This is one of those things they've said isn't possible to fix with the current system, but will be improved with the new version of the character builder they're currently working on.

Hope you understand and are able to help.
Many thanks
