Simple, the first feature of the daemonologist subclass for Wizard is not giving the option to select what invocation you can use
This is noted on the first page of the Grim Hollow Issues & Support Thread.
It is a system limitation, not a bug or glitch.
Invocations are hard-coded to Warlocks. It's a miracle they even got Eldritch Adept barely working.
