fount of moonlight error

Hello

The current description of this spell lists bard and bard(legacy).  This implies that the spell is available in the 2014 ruleset.  It does not appear to be the case, as this spell seems to be new to 5.5e

Am I missing something?

5.5 spells can be added to 5e characters.

You're correct that the spell is new to 5.5e.

D&D Beyond has added all the 5.5e spells to the class lists for the corresponding 5e classes, so that you can use the newer spells with characters using the old classes. I think this was mostly intended to support people who had existing 5e characters they didn't want to fully switch over to 5.5e, but wanted to use some of the newer spells. The rules aren't really intended to support using 5.5e spells on 5e characters in general, but they may have felt the online tools should have a bit more flexibility.

If you have a 5e character and you don't want to see the 5.5e spells, just make sure "5.5e Core Rules" and "5.5e Expanded Rules" are turned off in the Sources section of the Home tab in the character builder.

thanks!
