Hi there,

I just noticed that my Paladin lvl 1 - who lacks in wisdom, he has 8. Has a +1 on his saving throw....

But 8 ability score+2 prof bonus=10 which should be a +/-0 modifier, or am I mistaken?

The proficiency bonus must be added to the ability modifier, not the ability score.

With a 8 in wisdom, you have a -1 wisdom modifier, with a +2 as the proficiency bonus makes a total of +1.
