In D&D Beyond, when making a Warlock, I can only choose one Patron. Am I doing something wrong? I feel like I had similar trouble with another character having limited options, but I can't remember how I fixed it.
My DM got the package on D&D Beyond wherein he has every book, and thus all the players invited to his game get every book and all the content. So for example I can pick Deep Gnome or Goliath as my race, or look though Out of The Abyss or Xanthar's Guide to Everything, but am restricted to The Fiend in my Patron selection. I can look up all of the Fiend Patrons on D&D Beyond. But there is only one choice during character creation.
When looking up answers to this, every response is "you have to buy XYZ," but I already have access to every book on D&D Beyond....
You have Compendium access to the content but for you to be able to create characters in the character builder, the character you're creating has to be in the campaign that has content sharing turned on. Use the invitation link to that campaign to create a character and you'll see all the options.

Deep gnomes and goliaths are both available through free content, the Elemental Evil Player's Companion, so having access to those doesn't ensure that you have access to purchased content. If your DM has purchased the Legendary Bundle, your DM has access to all content. But being in a campaign with someone who owns the content is not a guarantee that you have access to the content. Content sharing requires a Master Tier subscription by anyone in the campaign AND that person has to enable content sharing. Then you would need to use the join link to enter the campaign. The join link will prompt you to create a character in the campaign or choose a character to join with. Once in the campaign, the character can be built and edited using whatever shared content anyone in the campaign has purchased.

It wasn't "in the campaign," that was the problem. Thanks!
