At 1st and 3rd level, you learn the spells associated with your choice, as shown in the table. These spells count as sorcerer spells for you, but they don’t count against your number of sorcerer spells known.
Currently these spells are being counted towards known spells.
As a 4th level Sorcerer i only have the ability to know three 1st level and two 2nd level spells. When it should be four 1st and three 2nd.

A Level 4 sorcerer should know 5 cantrips and 5 leveled spells as per the sorcerer level chart.
The number of spells you know are not the same as the number of spell slots you have.
So the feature seems to be working as intended.
