While using the new search engine, I wondered, why a search for "Evard's" did not return any spells, while the search for "Black Tentacles" did return both Black Tentacles and Evard’s Black Tentacles. What I realized was, that the spell name did not use the unicode character for apostrophe (U+0027), but the unicode character for "right single quotation mark" (U+2019). There are other spells though, that do use the apostrophe character in their name.
This made me go through the spells in the PHB and the EE companion to come up with this list.
The following spell names use the "right single quotation mark" character (U+2019: ’) in their name:
The writing should be made consistent, and the search and tooltip links should accept either character and for convenience also the writing without apostrophe.
Very happy to hear this, Hartless, but sadly searching for "Leomund's" still isn't giving me results in the spell list. I think it's still using that funky apostrophe character.
I probably should have been more specific. All instances of right quotation marks are replaced with apostrophes during search indexing. As such, searching for Leomund's (with an apostrophe) returns:
Okay, so I guess you fixed global search, but searching within the spell listing still doesn't work (when you put "leomund's" in the "spell name" filter).

Necroing this thread because I just noticed this when trying to search for Leomund's Tiny Hut and not getting any results.
This isn't just Global Search. It's also in the spells listing, which means it affects me.

Consistent use aside, ideally it should also work even if you don't include the apostrophe (e.g. Hunters Mark).
+1 for this one as well.
This should be fixed now. Sorry for it taking so long.
Thanks!
