I just started with a group and used a premade character while i was building my warlock, but while trying to add spells such as eldritch spear and off names such as tasha's hideous laughter (tring to find the base spell) does not show up on the list along with many others. Starting at lvl 3. what do i need to do to be able to add them to my character sheet.

Never mind didnt realize i needed to purchase the players handbook to do so.
Eldritch spear isn't a spell, it is an eldritch invocation.
Hideous Laughter is the free version of that spell.
