It seems you have to delete or cancel your Hero tier account to create a Master tier? Is this true and this seems scary to me...wouldn't I lose all my creations? Characters? Thanks for the advice.
You don't have to delete your account, just cancel your previous subscription. All of your creations and characters will be saved, though if you have over 6 character, you may not edit a few of them until the new subscription kicks in.

I absolutely have more than 6 characters...lol. That is what I am worried about. I created many NPC characters for my adventure...I do not want to lose anything. If you are 100% sure it just takes a day and I lose nothing, I will do it today. But I hate the sound of cancellng my subscription...
Characters will never delete. If your subscription was to end, these characters (over quantity 6) will only become 'inactive' or 'unavailable' until another subscription took place. If there are any issues or subscription related questions, you can always open a support ticket as well:
Follow up question. I am paid until the end of August. I am guessing I should wait until then to cancel or would DnD Beyond have anyway to charge the difference? Thank you.

I think if you just get a master subscription, it will cancel the hero subscription automatically. (I have never subscribed)
